This iconic banquet hall project in Bhubaneswar was envisioned as more than just an event venue — it was designed to become a landmark social destination that reflects the cultural identity and evolving urban character of Odisha. Developed for Eastern Builders, the 18,000 sq. ft. commercial space combines modern architectural expression with regional design inspiration to create a memorable hospitality environment.
The core architectural concept was inspired by the traditional handloom heritage of Odisha. Through the use of exposed brick cladding patterns and textured façade treatments, the building visually represents the woven rhythm and craftsmanship deeply associated with Odia culture. This fusion of cultural storytelling and modern commercial architecture gives the structure a distinctive visual identity while enhancing its connection to the local context.
Designed in a contemporary modern style, the banquet hall features bold geometric forms, expansive gathering spaces, and a strong architectural presence that naturally attracts attention from the surrounding urban landscape. The project aimed to create a premium party and celebration venue that delivers both functional efficiency and experiential luxury for weddings, receptions, corporate events, and large social gatherings.
One of the major architectural challenges of the project was the triangular plot configuration, which demanded highly strategic circulation planning and optimized spatial zoning. The complexity increased further with the integration of a sophisticated steel structural system, requiring precision coordination between architectural aesthetics and structural engineering. Additionally, strict project timelines demanded efficient execution planning without compromising the overall design quality and visual impact.
